Soil Stack Venting
Soil stacks vent through a single vent at the top of the soil stack, and also may have additional individual vents for each fixture drain line serving an area above the roof. Soil Stack Venting consists of three general steps:
1) A three inch diameter clean-out tee is inserted in the incoming section of the soil stack below where it exits from under the house.
2) The tee is connected to an underground clean-out: a cap that allows the soil stack venting line and fixture drain lines in the building to be reached for inspection and cleaning. Soil stacks vent through a single vent at the top of the soil stack, and also may have additional individual vents for each fixture drain line serving an area above the roof.
3) Soil Stack Venting Lines: flexible tubing which connects Soil Stack Vents to Soil Stack Vent Stack
